WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
To what depraved depths will two brothers sink in punishing the sister who dares to challenge their authority? In defiance of her powerful brothers, Duke Ferdinand and the Cardinal, the widowed Duchess of Malfi secretly marries her household steward, Antonio. But when Ferdinand's spy Bosola reports that the Duchess has borne a son, the couple are plunged into a nightmarish maelstrom of conspiracy, betrayal, madness and murder.
