WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Ann Patchett, best-selling author of the novel Bel Canto and guest editor of The Best American Short Stories 2006, introduces three of the stories she selected for this year's highly anticipated collection. Says Patchett of her new passion: "I have recently given my life over to short stories [and] I have the zeal of a religious convert..."
Michael Cerveris, Patricia Kalember and Ted Marcoux serve as Readers for the event.
