WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
La Piccola Opera ("opera in miniature"), a professional ensemble of world-class opera singers, presents an abridged production of the comedic classic opera, The Barber of Seville. Set in Seville, Spain during the 1700's, it is an amusing story of matchmaking and merriment that is entertaining to audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
The production stars Marjorie Kahn as Rosina, Brian Cheney (8/12 and 8/26) and Dante Fiore (8/12) as Count Almaviva, Ko Kaiden as Figaro, and Gisela Ramos as Berta/Narrator. The production is staged by Robert Perry with musical direction and piano accompaniment by Kelly Horsted.
