The Directors Company presents its new project Tales of Tinseltown - a Movieland Musical - as a special reading at Theatre Row's The Acorn Theatre.

Tales of Tinseltown is a sardonic parody of the Hollywood movie-making in the 1930s. Developed by a trio of talents to watch, the show features the book and lyrics of Michael Colby (drama desk nominated for his lyrics in Charlotte Sweet), music by Paul Katz (Backstage Bistro Award for This Life: The Songs of Portia Nelson), and is directed by Barry Ivan.

Actors appearing in the musical include Kate Baldwin, Montego Glover, Eddie Korbich, Leslie Kritzer, Jonathan Rayson, Ryan Silverman, Jennifer Smith and Tony Yazbeck.
