For over 35 years, Sweet Honey In The Rock's unique, five-part a capella blend of folk, gospel, world music, Americana, and Africana has been delighting audiences and winning Grammy awards - and never more so than in this program celebrating three musical icons. These distinctive performances will include songs presented in Sweet Honey In The Rock's signature a cappella style, and several with a jazz trio featuring pianist and music director Stacey Wade, Parker McAllister on bass, and Jovol Bell on drums/percussion. Sweet Honey In The Rock is comprised of Ysaye Maria Barnwell, Nitanju Bolade Casel, Aisha Kahlil, Carol Maillard, Louise Robinson, and Shirley Childress Saxton.
