Now celebrating its second year, the Sugar Salon series continues its support of exceptional women at the forefront of contemporary choreography. This shared evening of work marks
the culmination of a residency and intergenerational mentorship shared by Bessie Award-winners Donna Uchizono and Luciana Achugar, and choreographers Renée Archibald and Heather McArdle/BlueprintViolation. An inspired collaboration between Williamsburg Art neXus (WAX) and the Department of Dance of Barnard College, Sugar Salon is dedicated to mentoring, nurturing, and presenting the next generation of women choreographers. Sugar Salon is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.
