Subtext: Art & Science is a panel discussion examining the effect of science on the artist and the effect of art on the scientist. The event kicks off the New York premiere of The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci by Mary Zimmerman (winner of the 2002 Tony Award for Best Director for Metamorphoses.) Leonard Lopate, host of New York's talk show, The Leonard Lopate Show on WNYC / NPR, moderates the event, with special guests Brian Greene, PH.D.; Margaret S. Livingstone, PH.D.; and Mary Zimmerman. Wine and hors d'oeuvres are served from 5:30pm-6:10pm, followed by a performance excerpt from 6:10pm-6:20pm and the panel discussion from 6:20pm-7:00pm. Please RSVP by 12:00pm on Monday, May 19.
