As a featured soloist, Mr. Herring (baritone) has performed at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and The National Shrine with The Catholic University Symphony Orchestra; The Carter Baron Amphitheater with The National Symphony Orchestra; Alice Tully Hall with The Juilliard Symphony; The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts with The Handel Festival Orchestra; and Phi Beta Kappa Memorial Hall with The Williamsburg Symphonia. Mr. Herring recently performed the world premiere of Roumi Petrova's Suite #1 for Baritone and String Quartet in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.

In 1994, at the invitation of Vice President and Mrs. Gore, Mr. Herring was the guest artist for a celebration in honor of the newly President Elect of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.
