Join New York City Center at a Gala celebration honoring Stephen Sondheim on the occasion of his 80th birthday! The evening will highlight shows for which Mr. Sondheim has written both music and lyrics and will feature some of the brightest stars to have shone in Sondheim musicals, out to pay tribute to this Broadway legend, winner Tony and Grammy Awards, an Academy Award and a Pulitzer Prize. The Benefit will help fund New York City Center's artistic and education programs. In addition, a portion of the evening's proceeds will go to Young Playwrights Inc, a charity of great importance to Mr. Sondheim. Directed by Tony Award-winner John Doyle, with a full orchestra conducted by Encores! Music Director Rob Berman, this will be a night to remember!
