WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Hosted by Jeffrey Eric Jenkins of NYU, this symposium will celebrate Shaw's work and philosophy in a series of lectures and debates. The first half of the event will feature arts journalists and critics examining "Are Critics Necessary?" The second half will offer Shaw enthusiasts and scholars from around the globe the opportunity to speak on Shaw's life and works, with particular focus on Man and Superman.
