Selloane is an emerging artist that has combined her roots and experiences around the world to create her own soulful lyric interpretation. Born in Welkom, South Africa, Selloane began singing in church at the age of three. The voice of this child would soon be awarded the best soloist of the year at the Shell Road to Fame in South Africa. This major achievement granted Selloane her first recording contract with Gallo Music Group South Africa. She released Thel'u Moya with Gallo, and it is still considered one of the best gospel cd's released in South Africa to date. Selloane was also featured on Joyous Celebration 2 and 8 (Sony Music) as a guest artist. Joyous Celebration as well as Thel'u Moya has allowed Selloane to perform and reach people in over fifteen countries. Selloane has been fortunate enough to work with great producers like Robert Sibony, Hugh Masekela, Jonathan Butler, David Moloele, Mthunzi, Namba, Manasse Letsoara, and Lindelani Mkhize of Joyous Celebration. Selloane crossed the continent to Los Angeles to perform in Disney's The Lion at the historic Pantages Theater. Her Lion King experience did not stop there. She has been in the Toronto, London, US Tour, and now a cast member of Disney's The Lion King on Broadway. Selloane has appeared on Jay Leno, The Today Show, The View, and the 2008 Tony Awards. She also was a featured artist at the 2008 Lunas Awards in Mexico City and has performed at The White House for President and Mrs. Bush honoring Ghana's President John Kufuor and Mrs. Theresa Kufuor. Selloane songwriting skills evoke passion and individuality. She writes with simplicity and honesty that leaves you deeply touched and breathless. She was featured at the 21st annual Easter Bonnet for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids with a song she wrote Thari e Ntsho, a definite highlight of the event which raised over $3.3 million dollars for the cause.
