Named one of Cabaret Hotline's "Favorite shows of 2011."
"If you are a NY cabaret fan you MUST see this show." Stage Pages
No Summer Hiatus for this cabaret songstress! Teresa Fischer is back on the case with SCENE OF THE CRIME. Teresa takes us on a crime story adventure via some of our beloved TV detectives. Assembled are an entertaining and eclectic array of songs from standards by Irving Berlin and Frank Loesser to pop tunes from Lieber & Stoller, Carole King and Mary Chapin Carpenter plus some little-known musical gems. Cabaret veteran Paul Chamlin is the musical director.
Each song was set up with a crime in mind that depicted everything from 'stealing a kiss' used in the number "Scene of the Crime" to murder used in the number "Goodbye Earl" to patent theft used in "Otto Titsling". Many standouts in this lively hour are too numerous to mention and frankly would give away too much of this well balanced and enjoyable show. Stage Pages
