Ads these days for The Little Mermaid often plug what young girls can take away as they exit the theater: memories. Memories are more geared to adults in the Metropolitan Opera's 1993 production of Anton Dvorak's Rusalka -- which is pretty much The Little Mermaid with an unhappy ending. And the most indelible memory of the production, which has returned to the repertoire for a brief run, is Renee Fleming singing one of her most crowd-pleasing arias, "Song to the Moon," (or as the Czech has it, "Mesicku na nebi Hlubokem.")
