New York based artist Rez Abassi seamlessly combines jazz and classical music. Abassi trained at the University of California and the Manhattan School of Music. He is considered by many to be one of the leading jazz guitarist of today. He has a slew of albums and accolades to his credit, but it was his 2005 album Snake Charmer which fuses jazz and Indian music that garnered him rousing success. In 2006, he quickly followed with Bazaar once again stretching the known boundaries of jazz. JazzTimes says," Rez Abassi shows an uncanny flair with no categorical party line. A fresh voice worth hearing."
