Nads is a laugh-out-loud ladies' night of fun that any fan of "guy candy" won't want to miss. Mix a little "Whose Line is it Anyway?" with a little "Magic Mike," then stir in some drink specials with a table full of your besties, and you have the recipe for a perfect girls' night out!
The men of Nads are all accomplished stars of the stage and screen, and by far the hottest men in comedy. The Runway Package will get audience members up-close and personal with the Nads as they make it all up on the spot and interact directly with the crowd.
Nads is hosted by the devilishly wicked Nicholas Sotack and his puppet Kenny, a self described ladies man who has the unfortunate disadvantage of being connected to a gay man arm!
DCINY presents Total Vocal, the second annual celebration of contemporary a cappella music at Carnegie Hall featuring arrangements from Pitch Perfect, The Sing-Off, and the American pop lexicon. The performance includes many surprise celebrity Special Guest Artists and is conducted and hosted by Deke Sharon, a pioneer of the contemporary a cappella genre.
In this evening of song, singer Katie Welsh and pianist Emily Whitaker, both 2015 graduates of Princeton University, consider what it means to be a "Sondheim woman" by exploring twelve female characters from the musicals of Stephen Sondheim. How are the Sondheim women in conversation with one another and with the Golden Age musical heroines who came before them in Broadway history? What can we learn about these women when we put them "side by side--by side"? Katie explores these questions as she sings songs from beloved musicals such as Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George, Company, Merrily We Roll Along, Follies, and many others. This piece is an adaptation of a project originally directed by Suzanne Agins.
