Rent Benefit for NYTW

The original cast of Rent reunites for a one-night-only benefit performance at Studio 54. Proceeds go to support the new Jonathan Larson Lab Space at New York Theatre Workshop. The evening will feature a staged concert performed by the original cast of Rent, consisting of songs from the award-winning musical as well as other songs by the show's late creator, Jonathan Larson. The Rent Benefit for NYTW features Gilles Chiason, Taye Diggs, Wilson Jermaine Heredia, Rodney Hicks, Kristen Lee Kelly, Jesse L. Martin, Idina Menzel, Aiko Nakasone, Timothy Britten Parker, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp, Gwen Stewart, Byron Utley, Daphne Rubin-Vega, and Fredi Walker-Browne. Also performing will be original Rent understudies Yassmin Alers and Shelley Dickinson as well as the Rent band. The performance is directed by Michael Greif and produced by Martha Banta.

The evening begins with champagne and a buffet reception at 7:30pm followed by the 9:00pm performance and party with the cast in the VIP lounge.
