WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Winner of the 1983 Governor General's Award for Drama, Anne Chislett's Quiet in the Land tells the story of Yock, a young Amish man from Waterloo County who rebels against the values of his deeply pacifist family - and risks losing the love of his life - when he enlists as a soldier in the First World War. Andrey Tarasiuk directs.
