Stunning and vibrant, Pascal Rioult, choreographer of one of the most highly regarded modern dance troupes today, blends musicality and lyrical elegance in technically powerful works rich with emotion. The Pascal Rioult Dance Theatre returns to the Joyce with 2 world premieres Symphony of Psalms, a luminous interpretation of Stravinsky's masterwork, and EXP #1, a new work combining electronic music of Autechre with that of Bach & the smash hit If By Chance to Jacques Loussier's jazz interpretation of Mozart; and the riveting Black Diamond.

Former track and field star, Pascal Rioult came to the United Stares 20 years ago. Now he is hailed as a major choreographic talent on both sides of the Atlantic. His New York City based modern dance company, Pascal Rioult Dance Theatre, has been building its reputation since 1992 as one of the most highly regarded dance troupes today. Characterized by brilliant craftsmanship and inspired musicality, his early works are fast becoming classics, and his recent dances show the depth and maturity of his artistry.
