WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Following a sell-out run in 2005, when it was dubbed a "helluva hit" by The Observer and "a wonderful evening's entertainment" by The Evening Standard, ENO's Olivier Award-nominated production of On the Town is revived for 20 performances only.
Featuring West End artist Caroline O'Connor and Absolutely Fabulous TV star June Whitfield, alongside the ENO Orchestra and Chorus, On the Town follows the fortunes of three sailors looking for fun and romance on a day's shore leave. With music by Leonard Bernstein (West Side Story), book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green (Singin' in the Rain), and based on an idea by Jerome Robbins, On the Town is musical theatre at its finest.
Jude Kelly directs.
