When a nightclub fumigation goes awry, struggling standup comedian Lizette Feinberg emerges from a cloud of poisonous gas with the superhero ability to tell killer jokes... jokes that are so good, they actually kill people. But even with such a power, she remains stuck in the monotony of her day job… that is, until she learns of her evil Japanese boss's plan to wreak havoc on the United States economy. With the help of her sidekick, a company intern immune to the effects of killer jokes, Lizette takes on a new identity and vows to save the world, one pun at a time.
