WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Nellie McKay brings her provocative new show Silent Spring - It's Not Nice To Fool Mother Nature. To mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic book Silent Spring - the first major expose of pesticides in the environment - McKay has put together a special show about its author Rachel Carson, the trailblazing environmentalist. Joined by a four piece band, McKay will tell her story using music by Charles Mingus, Irving Berlin, Dave Frishberg, Hoagy Carmichael, Neil Young and more.
