WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Jimmy Cobb, the legendary drummer from both albums, unites with music director Mulgrew Miller and a capella masters Take 6 in a new interpretation of Kind of Blue, including "So What" and "Freddie Freeloader." Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) saxophonist Ted Nash debuts new arrangements of "Naima" and "Mr. P.C." from Giant Steps, joined on stage by fellow JLCO saxophonists Walter Blanding and Sherman Irby. Free Pre-Concert Lecture, Nightly Irene Diamond Education Center, 7pm JLCO saxophonist and arranger Ted Nash talks with Jazz at Lincoln Center's Ken Druker about crafting the highly original arrangements for this unique concert.
