staple for more than 4 years. Think many of your readers will
appreciate the upcoming show Saturday; the experience is is truly
like no other performance art drawing session. Very different, very
NYC, similar to Warhol's Factory shows.
Time Travelers Saturday November 7th
Michael Alan's Draw-a-thon Theater
7pm-12pm Bring Everybody!
Come draw 15 models travel through time and film, taking inspiration from the astonishing, violent, delightful French insane asylum of
Marat/Sade, the mad, decadent 18th century Vienna of Amadeus, and David Cronenberg's gruesome, bizarre and romantic The Fly - or just
watch three unique, visually imaginative and innovative films being reenacted!
Dramatically lit and wildly staged, the models/time travelers will
make use of the full theater, climbing through the seats and aisles at
various points during the performance. TITLE is an eclectic, vibrant
synthesis of live performance and film, staged at the Millennium Film
Center, a New York City landmark movie theater!
The Millennium Film Center has been showing underground film
screenings since 1966 and is "one of the oldest media arts centers in
the United States." Approximately 5,000 square feet, the movie theater
is spacious and eccentric, preserved in its original form and located
at subway-level - giving the theater a surreal, time capsule-like
