Marcy Playground emerged into the mainstream with the success of the single "Sex and Candy." Nine Days scored two hits with "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" and "If I Am". Jimmie's Chicken Shack emerged through MTV as one of the first Post-Grunge bands of the era.
