WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Saxophonist Lee Konitz has been playing jazz music for over six decades. Initially recognized for his work on Miles Davis' "Birth of the Cool" sessions, Konitz has also been associated with Lennie Tristano, Stan Kenton, Charles Mingus and Warne Marsh, among others. His experiments and personal expressions have touched a variety of different styles and Konitz has established himself as a major player in jazz history.
