WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Keith Carradine began his career in 1969 playing "Claude" in the Broadway production of Hair at the Biltmore Theater. Known for his varied roles in Robert Altman's Nashville, Alan Rudolph's Choose Me, Walter Hill's Southern Comfort and Louis Malle's Pretty Baby, as well as his recent portrayal of Wild Bill Hickock in HBO's Deadwood, Carradine is also a songwriter. His composition of "I'm Easy" from the movie Nashville won the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Song from a Motion Picture. He has released two LPs on David Geffen's Asylum Records and his recording of "I'm Easy" became a top-ten single.

While working consistently as an actor in both Theater and Films, Carradine has also continued songwriting. Over the years he has composed an impressive collection of tunes ranging from blues and ballads to folk-rock and what he likes to call "the greens". He swings from rustic to rollicking with forays into the Mississippi Delta and the country roots of Jimmie Rogers as well as influences from Dylan and Tim Buckley. The first-rate musicians backing him on guitar, fiddle, bass and drums are the perfect complement to his warm voice and uniquely refreshing style.
