What is Caribbean Soul?

French singer-songwriter Jehro's self-titled debut is an album inspired by Caribbean and American grassroots music, touching on Reggae, Folk, Latin, and Calypso, wrapped in a unique voice and style. Sung entirely in English, this is an album of snapshots and tales from the lives of ordinary people. Jehro's music evokes the vibe of Manu Chao and Amadou & Miriam, combined with the contemporary edge of artists like John Mayer. It's a style he calls "Caribbean Soul."
