WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An exploration of Leo Tolstoy's famous short story, How Much Land Does a Man Need?, and retold through narration, a new magical body of composed music, and video footage that Jamie Masefield collected while touring the country in 2005. The contemporary observations follow the Russian tale in a moving modern context that enables the audience to reflect and ask questions of its own time and place. This timely performance is a unique combination of literature, video, tv, and live musical accompaniment. The event will be a featured part of NYU Earth Week.
