A co-founder of the acclaimed World Saxophone Quartet with Julius Hemphill, Hamiet Bluiett and David Murray, Oliver Lake's groundbreaking roots/reggae ensemble Jump Up, and collaborations with choreographers, poets and a veritable Who's Who of the progressive jazz scene have taken him across the U.S., Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Africa and Australia.
