WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Idina Menzel won the Tony Award for Best Actress for her role as "Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West," in the hit musical Wicked. She is also known for originating the role of "Maureen Johnson" in Rent, a part she reprized for the film version. Her new Warner Bros. Records debut album, I Stand, was just released last month. The songs - all written by Menzel - are mostly pop tunes and heartfelt ballads that tell universal stories of personal challenges and human relationships.
