The panel will be focus on founding and running a company: how or if there can (or should) be an evolution away from the founder's vision, how responsibilities are divided - the hierarchy of who does what (no, one person should NOT do it all), the creation of a mission statement, and how it evolves as a company evolves, the pros and cons of going not-for-profit versus remaining a commercial venture, how important it is to have a theater space of one's own, and anything else that is important for someone to know who is thinking about starting their own producing company.
The panel will be co-moderated by Sherry Eaker, editor-at-large of Back Stage. Doors open at 7:00pm for networking and refreshments, panel starts promptly at 7:30pm.
