WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Shakespeare Society presents How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare, a candid and insightful discussion between New York Times best-selling author Professor Stephen Greenblatt and legendary theater critic Robert Brustein. Directed by Michael Sexton, references will be drawn from Professor Greenblatt's best-seller Will in the World: How Shakespeare Became Shakespeare while Brustein will offer anecdotes and insight from his years of dramatic criticism for The New Republic and his long career directing the Bard. Actors F. Murray Abraham and Joe Plummer will speak Shakespeare's words to enhance the evening.
