The New York City Hip-Hop Theater Festival, The Apollo Theater & Okayplayer Present: The 1st Annual Hip-Hop Unity Concert, a unique musical celebration honoring the global impact of Hip-Hop culture. The concert features legends along with rising stars from theunderground and international talents including The Roots and two of Cuba's premier rap groups, Obsesion and Doble Filo. The addition of this special concert event as part of the Festival helps to fulfill its long-term goal to grow organically, gradually adding work from different genres that compliment the main body of theatrical work being presented, while providing audiences with additional opportunities to attend.
