New York's most talented "gypsies", chorus members from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, join in a competition/variety show as six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by the community come to a close with the 14th Annual Gypsy of the Year Competition. The all-singing, all-dancing, all-dishing extravaganza anticipates performances from the theatre community's biggest and most lavish productions, including 42nd Street, Aida, Cabaret, Chicago, Flower Drum Song, Hairspray, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!, The Producers, Rent, Urinetown: The Musical, and more. Benefactor and VIP tickets ($350 and $200) and General Admission tickets ($90/$40/$20) can be purchased after December 3 in person at BC/EFA, 165 W. 46th St., Suite 1300; by phone at 212-840-0770; or at the door on the day of the event.
