WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Girlpower: Voices of a Generation is an empowering, ensemble-driven collection of words written and performed by teenagers. Through monologues and spoken word, the young women share their perspectives on love, identity, relationships, the future, and finding power through theatre.

RE:I was floored!
A diverse cast performed original monologues and scenes that were not only relatable and realistic, but deep. This was no cliche teen movie, but a captivating play that incorporated topics ranging from STDs and domestic violence to the teen use of Facebook. I was particularly in awe of the security these girls cdemonstarted in such an insecure world to reveal their moments of weakness and their friends to an audience of strangers. BRAVO!!
Personal favorites: "The Stew," which spoke to the temptations girls of this generation face. Another wonderful part of the play was the Barbie Doll Scene through the Beauty Chant.
