An event featuring a rare performance by the iconic composer of Hair, Galt MacDermot, along with his band, including legendary drummer Bernard "Pretty" Purdie, and guest vocalist Bryce Ryness. Enjoy a preview of selections from of the upcoming documentary Ear of the Heart: The Music of Galt MacDermot, including interviews with Kenny Ortega, Tim Curry, Melba Moore, Derek Walcott, John Guare and many other artists. Beloved by Broadway and Hip-Hop fans alike, the film follows Galt's musical career and reveals the depth and spirituality of his unforgettable body of work.
Enjoy an evening of music and film with MacDermot, his family, filmmakers Jeff Lunger, Eric Marciano and Meredith Jacobson Marciano, and HAIR castmembers. Proceeds will be used for post production of the film.
