Honorary benefit hostess and Academy Award-winning actress Marisa Tomei invites you to attend a benefit reading for Red Bull Theater. DESDEMONA: a play about a handkerchief by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel retells Shakespeare's Othello as seen from the perspective of the women in the play. Desdemona is a hilarious, satirical and provocatively alternative view of Shakespeare's tragedy.
Cocktail reception with the playwright, actors, and live music follows the reading, featuring Americana singer-songwriter-actor Addie Brownlee.
