This alluring multimedia performance features 13 Screen Tests of some of Warhol's closest friends and artistic collaborators including poor little rich girl Edie Sedgwick, Hollywood actor Dennis Hopper, model Nico and Velvet Underground songwriter Lou Reed. Known for their entrancingly melodic guitar hooks and clever lyrics, Dean Wareham & Britta Phillips perform a live soundtrack that provides new context for experiencing Warhol's films as well as a juxtaposition that reveals previously hidden qualities in these engaging portraits. 13 Most Beautiful...Songs for Andy Warhol's Screen Tests, is a project jointly commissioned by the Andy Warhol Museum and Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for the Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts 2008.
