WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Dancenow/NYC launches the second season of DanceOpolitan during the 1Oth anniversary celebration of its citywide Dancenow/NYC Festival. The now year-round cosmopolitan urban dance series, in partnership with Joe's Pub at the Public Theater, opens with four uniquely different cabaret shows of what's now in dance, featuring 40 of today's hottest and most creative city-based choreographers and performers. From Latin to hip hop, toe to tap, bare feet to flamenco, each show includes gems from the festival's past, present and future, all faces you will surely want to keep an eye on. The hip and sexy new series where you can get a cocktail and hang out on the velvet couches while watching dance, is getting lots of sidewalk buzz and offers today's avid dance fan and newbie a new way to experience dance that is urban, accessible and irresistibly different.
