Champagne Pam (Pamela Lewis) uncorks a rare and complex blend of sweet, slightly tart and full-bodied cabaret that seeks to attract new audiences to the art form. Pamela's sultry, silky voice will be accompanied by guitarist John Hurley (Pamela's husband), and renowned pianist John Colianni (Les Paul Trio). Bubbling with a spectrum of music, from Chaka Khan to Sondheim, this show is intended to pop with the cabaret devotee as well as those new to the genre.
She was introduced to the world of cabaret by frequenting shows with her late aunt Marilyn. Music writer Chuck Lavazzi calls cabaret the "revelation of the individual performer's personality through music." Pamela hopes her show will embody her humor, life and performance experience as she breaks into the cabaret scene and shakes it up. "I want people unfamiliar with cabaret to leave my show thinking 'who knew cabaret was this cool?'"
