WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The New York Musical Theatre Festival and Sh-K-Boom Records co-present this evening, entitled Cassie Wooley's Chimera. Audiences can expect to hear an eclectic array of music by such writers and artists as Fiona Apple, Andrew Gerle, Niko Tsakalakos, Bjork, The Raconteurs, and Elvis.
Written by Eric Slater, the concert will feature direction by Cobey Mandarino (Roundabout's off-Broadway revival of Streamers) and music direction by Christopher D. Littlefield. Ted Pallas and Jason Fleitz helm video design with Victoria DeIorio designing sound. Wooley was seen in the award-winning musical See Rock City… at NAMT and Barrington Stage Company. She began her career in Chicago playing wonderful women like Thea in Fiorello!, Sally in Cabaret, and Mary in Merrily We Roll Along (Jeff Award), among many others. Wooley grew up in Sioux City, IA where her parents own Lamb Productions Theatre.
