WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Merkin Concert Hall is hosting a "hall-warming" benefit in support of The New York Festival of Song--the delightful song concert series coming to Merkin Hall this fall in co-presentation partnership with the Kaufman Center. The benefit program is called Broadway Unplugged, and Steven Blier, NYFOS pianist/host/raconteur extraordinaire, will be joined by singers Judy Kaye, Mary Testa, Harolyn Blackwell and Alix Korey performing great Broadway material the way it should be done: with the kind of personality and pipes that don't need mikes and amps.
