WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Continuing the 10th Anniversary celebration of The Town Hall's Broadway by the Year ® concert series, Melissa Manchester joins a cast of musical theater performers celebrating shows that graced Broadway stages in 1948, including Cole Porter's classic Kiss Me Kate and Frank Loesser's Where's Charley?. The show is hosted, created and written for The Town Hall by Scott Siegel. The evening will feature songs including "So In Love," "Where Is The Life That Late I Led, "Were Thine That Special Face," and "Too Darn Hot," from Kiss Me Kate; "Once In Love With Amy," from Where's Charley?; "Mr. Right," from Love Life; "Schraffts," from Make Mine Manhattan; "Haunted Heart" from Inside USA; and "Neurotic You and Psychopathic Me" from Lend Me and Ear, among others. The cast of singers and dancers include: Jeff McCarthy (Urinetown), Bobby Steggert (Ragtime, Yank!), Jeffry Denman (White Christmas), William Michals (South Pacific), Noah Racey (Curtains), Erin Denman (42nd Street), Josh Grisetti (Enter Laughing) and the Grammy Award winning opera singer John Easterlin. Broadway Musicals of 1948 will be directed by Stuart Ross (Forever Plaid), and musical directed by Ross Patterson.
