WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Stories With Piano #3 includes songs by Stephen Sondheim, Edith Piaf, Tom Waits, Irving Berlin and Kander & Ebb. She will be joined by Musical director Scott Cady on piano.

Bebe Neuwirth has established herself as a versatile performer on stage, film and television. She won the Tony, Drama Desk and Astaire Awards for the role of "Velma" in the smash hit Broadway revival of Chicago. She also received a Tony Award for her role as "Nickie" in Sweet Charity. Her other Broadway credits include Fosse, Damn Yankees, Dancin', Little Me, and A Chorus Line. In addition, she has performed leading roles in numerous regional theater productions including West Side Story for the Cleveland Opera, the title role in Kiss of the Spiderwoman on London's West End, The Three Penny Opera at A.C.T., and Katherine in The Taming of the Shrew at Williamstown Theater Festival. She performed a successful run of Here Lies Jenny at the Zipper Theater in New York. Comprised of music by Kurt Weill, the show was created by Leslie Stifelman, Roger Rees, Ann Reinking, and Ms. Neuwirth.

WHAT ARE CRITICS SAYING?

It's understandable that Bebe Neuwirth doesn't perform any songs from Chicago in her new show, Stories With Piano #3, at Feinstein's at Loews Regency. The veteran actress/dancer has no doubt performed such numbers as "All That Jazz" and "Nowadays" so often that she must go on automatic pilot.

Not that she doesn't explore a lot of familiar territory during the evening, which reprises much of the material from her 2008 Stories With Piano show at the same venue, as well as several Brecht-Weill numbers from her acclaimed 2004 off-Broadway revue Here Lies Jenny.

Still striking and lithe at age 52 -- not only does she freely admit her age, she even does the math for us -- Neuwirth doesn't have[...]
