Declan Donnellan brings innovation to Sophocles' classic tragedy. The production blends ancient and modern elements of music and uses a thrust stage so the audience surrounds the action. Antigone's world has been destroyed by war. Her uncle, Creon has seized power and alone she must stand up to his tyranny.
