The premiere world music magazine, Global Rhythm, is celebrating its 15th anniversary at Highline Ballroom featuring performances by Anoushka Shankar, Karsh Kale and Special Guests.

Global Rhythm is a New York-based magazine that features the best in international music, film, food and travel. This monthly magazine is dedicated to serving world music fans' eclectic tastes.

Anoushka Shankar is the daughter of the sitar maestro Ravi Shankar. This Grammy-nominated artist fuses traditional Indian music with innovative modernism and creates a new sound for the sitar. Also an actress and author, this young artist is currently on tour in support of her 2005 release, Rise and 2006's Rise Remixes.

Growing up in New York state, Karsh Kale was influenced by traditional Indian music, classic rock and dance. Fusing these sounds together this percussionist came up with a sound all his own. His newest album, Broken English was released in 2006 to critical acclaim.
