WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
With her signature ability to bring a fresh sound to both traditional musical theatre and newer, more obscure material, Angela Scollo's My Heart Stood Still explores the absurdity, humor and humanity of the five stages of grief by way of such varied songwriters as Stephen Sondheim, Comden and Green, Noel Coward, Alanis Morrisette, Michael John La Chiusa and Rufus Wainwright. Directed by Stephen Bel-Davies with musical direction and arrangements by Lisa DeSpain and Taylor Hollyer on bass.
