WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
An Inspector Calls is set in England in the early spring of 1912. The Birlings are having a party to celebrate the engagement of their daughter, Sheila, to Gerald Croft, the wealthy son of a business rival. Everyone is happy and feeling very pleased with themselves, until a police inspector pays them a visit, informing them that a young girl has just been found dead. One by one, the members of the little group are confronted by the inspector regarding their involvement with this girl. Did they all really know her? Did they all really have a hand in her death?
