Actor/Director Roger Rees and Theater Critic John Simon will look at clips of some of McKellen's most notable Shakespearean performances captured on film, including selections from Macbeth, Richard III, Othello and Sir Ian's solo Shakespeare film. Rees and Simon, who have hosted film retrospectives on Sir Laurence Olivier, Claire Bloom, and Sir Derek Jacobi for The Shakespeare Society, will provide commentary and discussion about the illustrious career of this great actor.
