WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

In the magical city of ancient Athens, star-crossed love threatens to carry the day as noble suitors Lysander and Demetrius vie for the hand of sweet Hermia. Hermia and Lysander flee the wrath of her father and elope into the forest, with Demetrius and the obsessive, desperate Helena hot on their tails. The Lovers' quandary comes to the attention of the forest spirit Oberon, King of the Fairies, and Oberon -- who happens to be engaged in a fierce battle of wills with his own wife, the powerful Queen Titania -- directs his mischievous messenger Puck to sort out the disharmony...but Puck inadvertently wreaks havoc! Meanwhile, Quince and his Rude Mechanicals rehearse an unintentionally uproarious presentation of "Pyramus and Thisbe" for the Athenian nobles. Lovers, Fairies, and Rude Mechanicals converge with hilarious consequences and unexpected joy for all!
